The longest-running American showcase for documentaries, experimental films, animation, and hybrid works that increase understanding of the complexity and diversity of peoples and culture. Submit films here by June 1. Some of the festival’s films travel to universities and museums around the US and the world. The festival considers documentary films and videos (including shorts, experimental films, essay films, animation, and new media) that have been completed within the last three years, and are in English or with English subtitles or voiceover narration.
