Searching for Experimental Japanese Film

The history of experimental arts in Japan is less a mystery to outsiders now, thanks to Miryam Sas, a Berkeley film and comparative literature scholar. In her Experimental Arts in Postwar Japan: Moments of Encounter, Engagement, and Imagined Return, she analyzes a crucial period in the history of those developments.
