The Library and Archives of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, a educational nonprofit devoted to the cultural significance of rock and roll music that intends to become the most comprehensive repository of written and audiovisual materials relating to the art form, is hiring an audiovisual archivist whose responsibilities will include processing incoming audiovisual archival materials, managing the storage and preservation of audiovisual materials, performing the migration of audio and video content to digital files for preservation and access, and assisting Library and Archives users. Among the position requirements are three years of experience with preservation digitization of audiovisual materials with audiovisual collections in an academic, research, or special-library setting; experience with audio and video editing equipment; and knowledge of repair and maintenance of legacy audio and video equipment.
